Something yummy

Nope, this isn't a recipe. It a narrative of the conversation that happens at our house daily. First, let me say that I love my wife and family dearly. This originally annoyed me but has become more of an amusement over the years. When my wife and I first got married I was kibitzing in the kitchen. Telling her you how to prepare a meal. After a few times she threw down pan and said "then you do it". Well that showed me.

Okay, not really. I've been doing the majority of the cooking ever since. At least when I'm not working. Usually we start this conversation just after dinner the night before.
"What are we going to do for dinner"
"I don't know"
"What do you want to do for dinner?"
"I don't care anything is fine"

Now we drop the subject until the next morning. Then it starts again.

"What are we going to do for dinner"
"I don't know"
"What do you want to do for dinner?"
"I don't care anything is fine"
We'll go through this 2 or 3 more times then about. About then she'll look at me an say "ooh ya know what I want"? Obviously, I don't or else we wouldn't have had to go through 3 or 4 of the previous chorus. She'll give me the most sincere look and say "something yummy".

By now it's too late to pull anything from the freezer so I have to go to the store. Before I leave I ask, what she has in mind and the response is always the same "I don't know". So I am left to wander the isles of the local supermarket in search of divine inspiration and "something yummy". Now that I have finished this blog I'm going to head to the store looking for....you guest it. Something Yummy.
